In Pier's family, catering has always been a family affair: he decided at a young age to dedicate himself to another professional path, fulfilling his desire to become a commercial pilot.
He still keeps alive his desire to open his own place despite his travels around the world. In 1993 he meets Germana, the flight attendant who will become his wife.
Their lives are full and fulfilled, but Pier's desire is shared by Germana and finally in 2018 the BARZAC (acronym of the two surnames) is opened in Milan, a few steps from the Central Station.
Germana & Pier meet and together, between family and work, they cultivate their passion for the world of catering.
The dream becomes reality: a place offering gourmet food, from breakfast to dinner.
Pier & Germana decide to make Barzac a restaurant exclusively dedicated to Piacenza and Emilian cuisine.

Our pasta, even the gluten-free one, is made strictly by hand, always, every day.

The handmade pasta is served as Piacenza tradition dictates: stuffed! Tortelli, ravioli, anolini with selected beef stew,
Finally, Pisarei and faśö, but also apparently less traditional dishes, such as tagliatelle with gorgonzola and crispy raw ham.

In winter the menu is enriched with meats served with polenta and incredible side dishes: boiled meats, wild boar, roe deer, cooked salami, horse tartare and Piacenza-style raw meat, small horse meat, lamb with topside, stews and casseroles.

The Barzac cured meats come from a historic producer in Alseno, who follows the entire process: from breeding, to slaughtering, to casing.

In addition to the famous sbrisolona, you will find a selection of classic homemade desserts: semifreddo with amaretto, tiramisu, Vignola chocolate cake with almonds, rum and extra dark chocolate, served with ice cream or whipped cream always homemade (always).

At Barzac you will find the proposals of important wineries that produce amazing wines. For example the typical "wines of the past", the classic method, without sulphites, untreated, unfiltered, organic, aged even 10-14 years. And then the more modern wines, a little more elaborate, with incredible flavor, taste, perfume and aromas.
